Q: Dear Sir
I am a Dubai resident.
Last month, Mashreq filed a criminal case against me for credit card cheque bounce of AED 60000. I paid the fine and got released from the police station.
Now, they called me again and said they are going to file a civil case against me. If they file a civil case, will there be any immediate travel ban?
Also, advise if the police can arrest me on the basis of this civil case immediately.

Travel ban clearance after paying fine for bounced cheque
18
Q: Hi Sir,
My credit card cheque was bounced and I got in jail and paid the fine after the public prosecution hearing, but they did not give me a clearance. They just let me out in the jail.
I would like to ask if I have a travel ban. The bank keeps sending me and for the 8th time that my cheque was bounced again.
Is it also possible that they can repeatedly bounce my cheque? They also threatened me that they will file a civil case a week after the other case was finished.

Criminal and civil cases for defaulting on a bank loan
28
Q: Hi.
I would like to ask a question.
I had a bank loan in 2013, and due to crises, I lost my job in 2015 and couldn't continue my loan instalments.
But now, I got a job in Dubai, and before coming to Dubai I spoke to the bank from my home country to remove police case and allow me to come to Dubai. The outstanding amount was AED 68K.
The bank gave me a release letter with the help of Central Bank on the condition that I will continue my loan instalments, but my salary is not that big to be able to continue.
So now the bank is telling me they will make a travel ban and civil case against me.
My question is if bank files a case and I pay a fine in court against the cheque bounce, will the central bank or local bank still make another case or travel ban?
Please help me and give your advice.
Thank you

Filing a case for wrongfully encashing a guarantee cheque 1
3 years back I had given a post-dated cheque as a guarantee to a person whom I had to pay the money.
In 3 years time before the due date of the post-dated cheque, I had paid him partially by cash and cheque for which I have his signed vouchers and the PDC cheque details.
He was supposed to return back my PDC on the due date and collect the balance amount that was around AED 4000. The cheque value was AED 115,000.
On the due date, he demanded more money from me and when I refused, he bounced the cheque and filed a cheque bounce case.
He said I gave him a cheque of a closed bank account when he asked the money back and claimed the full amount. I was arrested and had to pay the fine for the cheque bounce case.
With the agreement I have with me and the payment voucher proof, can I sue him back for the false accusation?
And can I claim compensation for spoiling my name and image?
