My job visa is approved while there is an unsettled criminal case. Does that mean my case is over?

Dear Lawyers,

Currently, there is an unsettled criminal case against me in Dubai court (the judgment is 2 months in jail with deportation).

However, a few days ago, my job visa was approved.

Does that mean my case is over?

Dear Questioner,

Thank you for reaching out with your question!

While it's great news that your job visa has been approved, it does not necessarily mean that your criminal case is over.

The visa approval may indicate that the authorities have not placed a travel or employment ban on you at this time, but the court ruling of 2 months' jail and deportation remains legally binding unless it has been formally appealed or resolved.

I recommend that we review your case in detail to determine the current status and explore possible legal options, such as appealing the judgment or negotiating a settlement, if applicable.

It’s important to act quickly, especially in matters involving criminal sentencing and deportation.

Feel free to reach out to me on WhatsApp or phone at [---------] so we can discuss your situation further and find the best solution.
