Questions & Answers
What can I do if I resign during probation and the employer asks for compensation?
Hi,
I am now serving my notice period in the company in my probation period.
However, they are asking me for a 7000 fee which I am not aware of. I was told that I agreed to this and signed the contract which is not true.
I repeatedly requested a copy of my contract for months, yet I have not received any.
Due to the lack of response, I checked the contract through the app and found that it was electronically signed.
I do not recall signing this contract, nor did I receive any digital copy to sign. What should I do?

Dear questioner
As a copy of the agreement which they are claiming that you had signed already through the mail, if still after sending mail they are not initiating for cancellation and final settlements, file a complaint in MOHRE for all above.

Dear Inquirer
Request Written Proof: Formally ask your employer, in writing, for a copy of the contract and any proof that you agreed to the fee, including the electronically signed document. Emphasize that you have repeatedly requested this information without success.
Contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE): If your employer does not provide the requested documents, file a complaint with MOHRE. You can do this online through their website or by visiting a customer happiness center. It is best to have a lawyer present to prevent any risks that may occur.

Dear inquirer,
Formally request in writing a detailed explanation from your employer regarding the AED 7000 fee they are asking for. Seek evidence that you agreed to this fee, such as the specific clause in your contract.
Since you do not recall signing the contract and did not receive a copy, you should challenge the validity of the electronic signature.
