How can I avoid lease renewal in Dubai after missing the 90-day notice period?

I am a tenant in Dubai, and my lease is expiring in one month. I do not wish to renew the lease; however, I forgot to give my landlord notice.
My contract states that I need to give 90 days' notice if I wish to renew or vacate at the end of the lease. My landlord does not wish to increase the rent.
He says that he will auto-renew my Ejari because I didn’t give notice, and requests new cheques for the new year. What can I do? I do not want to renew.

According to Article 24 of the UAE Tenancy Law, a tenant must give a notice period of 90 days to the landlord if they wish to vacate the property at the end of the lease.
Failure to give this notice may result in the automatic renewal of the lease for the same period and under the same conditions.
In your case, since you have not given the required notice, your landlord has the right to automatically renew your lease.
However, if you do not wish to renew, you can try negotiating with your landlord and explaining your situation.
