Resignation during probation in a limited labour contract

Hello Sir,

I am working in Jebel Ali free zone as an accountant. The visa is on a 3-year contract. Currently, I am in the probation period.

I would like to leave the UAE without informing the employer. Is it possible?

If yes, what are the consequences I have to face?

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for getting in touch with me on this.

I understand that you have a limited contract with the company and intend to prematurely terminate the same.

Under the UAE Labour Law, if an employee terminates a labour contract prematurely, then he is liable to pay compensation equal to 45 days of his salary and he ought to give a notice period as stipulated in the labour contract.

There is a possibility regarding the ban but the same differs depending on your job position and salary.

I suggest that you mail me your labour contract in order for me to advise better.

I trust you will find this helpful.

Regards,

Hari Wadhwana
