Questions & Answers
Am I still eligible for ILOE after my free zone company closed and I applied late?
Good morning,
My company closed due to the non-renewal of the license in the free zone area, and they gave me an end-of-service letter dated June 6, 2024.
However, I only applied on July 13, and I haven't received a reply yet. Am I still eligible for ILOE?
I would like to hear some legal opinions. I hope you can help me.
Thank you!
Dear Questioner,
One requirement for ILOE eligibility is involuntary job loss. Closure due to license non-renewal can be considered involuntary termination.
While you applied on July 13th, the delay might affect your claim processing time.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) manages ILOE. You may get in touch with them to proceed further.
If you need further clarification, you may ask us.
Dear Questioner,
ILOE stands for Involuntary Loss of Employment Insurance. It's a program offered by the United Arab Emirates to help individuals who have been affected by job loss.
If your company closed in a free zone and you received an end-of-service letter, you may be eligible for ILOE. However, eligibility depends on various factors and the program's requirements.
The application process for ILOE can take time, so it's normal to wait for a response.
If you haven't heard back, you can reach out to authorities for an update. It's also wise to seek legal advice to understand your rights and options.
Stay proactive and follow up on your application for timely updates.
Good luck, and I hope this information helps you.
