Questions & Answers
Is an acceptance letter necessary if my resignation was verbally accepted by HR?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I gave my resignation to our HR through email and provided a hard copy, but he is not giving me an acceptance letter.
Is it important that I receive an acceptance letter, even though they have accepted my resignation verbally?
You must be notified of the legal notice period you will be working before resigning.
In case of any problem, contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Greetings,
Yes, you must obtain acceptance of the resignation to preserve your rights because, unfortunately, some companies file escape charges against employees after accepting the resignation to deprive them of their labor rights.

It is not necessarily required to receive a formal acceptance letter for your resignation to be considered official.
In many cases, verbal confirmation from HR or your manager that they have received and accepted your resignation is sufficient.
However, if you want to have a written record of your resignation and the acceptance of it, you may want to follow up with HR to request an acceptance letter.
This can serve as a formal acknowledgment of your resignation and can be useful for your own records or for any future reference.
If you are concerned about not receiving a formal acceptance letter, it is worth communicating with HR or your manager to inquire about the status of your resignation and request written confirmation if necessary.

You do not need a resignation acceptance letter.
