I had a case and I was proved innocent by the court. How can get police clearance certificate?

I had a case and I was proven innocent. I've received the case closure paper from the court.

Now I've applied for a police clearance certificate for job purposes and it's been days and I've not received it yet. It's still showing under process.

Are there any steps before applying for clearance that I haven't done yet?

Please advise

Dear questioner

Please wait until the authority notifies you, however, you are required in some cases to appear before the Police for verification and clearance purposes.

If you need further clarification, please share your Whatsapp number.

Dear Questioner,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Regarding the above, we would like to inform you that, according to UAE law, a person who has been acquitted or had their case dismissed is entitled to a police clearance certificate.

However, there are certain steps that need to be followed before applying for the certificate.

1. Obtain a copy of the court's decision: Before applying for a police clearance certificate, you need to obtain a copy of the court's decision that states that you have been acquitted or your case has been dismissed.

This document will serve as proof of your innocence and will be required when applying for the certificate.

2. Submit a request to the court: Once you have obtained a copy of the court's decision, you need to submit a request to the court to issue a certificate of innocence.

This request should include a copy of the court's decision and your personal details such as name, date of birth, and passport number.

3. Wait for the court's response: The court will review your request and issue a certificate of innocence if you are eligible. This process may take some time, so it is important to be patient.

4. Apply for a police clearance certificate: Once you have received the certificate of innocence from the court, you can then apply for a police clearance certificate. You will need to submit the certificate of innocence along with your application for the police clearance certificate.

If you have followed all these steps and your application is still under process, you may need to follow up with the relevant authorities to check on the status of your application.

Kindly feel free to contact us for further guidance.

Contact the Relevant Authorities: Before applying for a police clearance certificate, it is advisable to contact the police department or the agency responsible for processing such requests in your area.

They can provide you with specific information on the process and any requirements you need to fulfill.

Ensure Case Closure Documentation: Since you mentioned that you have received the case closure paper from the court, make sure that this document is in order and contains all the necessary details related to your innocence and the closure of the case.

This document may be required when applying for a police clearance certificate.

Check Application Requirements: Review the application requirements for obtaining a police clearance certificate in your jurisdiction.

Ensure that you have all the necessary documents, such as identification proof, address proof, and any other specific documents required by the issuing authority.

Follow Up on Your Application: If your application is still showing as “under process” after a considerable amount of time, it might be helpful to follow up with the relevant authorities to inquire about the status of your application.

They may be able to provide you with an update or clarify any issues causing delays.

Consider Seeking Legal Assistance: If you continue to face delays or encounter difficulties in obtaining your police clearance certificate, consider seeking legal assistance from a lawyer who specializes in such matters.

They can guide you on how to proceed and advocate on your behalf if necessary.
