Re-visiting the UAE after leaving without visa cancellation
Q: Hello Sir, I was working for a company in Abu Dhabi for 8 months. Due to some emergency at my home, I took an emergency leave. After that, I was unable to come back to the UAE. Now, it's more than 6 months, I didn't return to the UAE. I am having a resident visa valid till March 2019. Is it possible to come to the UAE with a new visa for a visit or for working with another company?

Consequences of failing to return to work after an emergency leave
Q: I was working in one company which is in Hamriyah Free Zone. My visa is stamped on 10 June 2018. I went on emergency leave on 12 Oct, and since then I have not returned to work. I have sent a resignation email on 22 Nov through email and requested to proceed for visa cancellation. But nobody has responded back to me. I am still out of the UAE. Can you please advise me?

Consequences of leaving the UAE without proper cancellation of employment visa
Q: I was with a company in Dubai for 22 days, due to a family emergency I left home and paid compensation as in the work contract (45 days salary was the compensation). After 6 months of exit, I started requesting the company to cancel my visa and Emirates ID, but they are ignoring it. They want me not to come to the UAE again. Can you guide me on this?

Leaving the UAE with a valid work visa and not coming back
Q: Please do guide me. My brother went on vacation for the last two weeks. Unfortunately, he will not be coming back to the UAE for some family matter. But still, his contract was just renewed and he has 2 months salary advance (AED 6,000/-).

Q: I left without informing my company in Dubai. I worked there for three years at my current company. Can I enter the UAE on a visit visa after six months to search for a job? Will there be any ban imposed on me?

Employee rights in case of resignation during unapproved absence
Q: I work as an admin assistant for a private school in Dubai. A teacher joined us on 17.03.2017 as an Art Teacher. On 5th December 2019, She travelled to her home country on the demise of her mother with no official communication to any member of the SLT and Principal. On 3rd January 2019, she sent an email to the principal for extending her holidays till 20th January on the ground of medical leave. She didn't come back at all yet. On April 18th, 2020, she sent her resignation via email. My question here, since she is under school labour contract and she didn't serve her one month notice period, is she eligible to the end of service benefits? I would appreciate it if you could guide us with the legality of this matter. Thanks, S.

Deducting visa costs when resigning after more than a year of work

Filing a case for wrongfully encashing a guarantee cheque
3 years back I had given a post-dated cheque as a guarantee to a person whom I had to pay the money. In 3 years time before the due date of the post-dated cheque, I had paid him partially by cash and cheque for which I have his signed vouchers and the PDC cheque details. He was supposed to return back my PDC on the due date and collect the balance amount that was around AED 4000. The cheque value was AED 115,000. On the due date, he demanded more money from me and when I refused, he bounced the cheque and filed a cheque bounce case. He said I gave him a cheque of a closed bank account when he asked the money back and claimed the full amount. I was arrested and had to pay the fine for the cheque bounce case. With the agreement I have with me and the payment voucher proof, can I sue him back for the false accusation? And can I claim compensation for spoiling my name and image?
