Checking a travel ban for leaving job without resignation
Hi
I have received a visit visa though I had left Dubai without informing my employer years ago. Will there be a problem when entering?

Dear Questioner,
Thanks for contacting online.
Since you left Dubai without informing the employer, there are chances that the employer had made an absconding case against you.
So before entering Dubai on a visit visa, it is better to check whether you have been blacklisted or any travel ban is pending against you.

ABSCONDING CASE: If you left the country without informing your employer and without complying with the employment cancellation procedure like service during the notice period and visa cancellation, then your employer will have no choice but to report you as absconding and you will be banned.
When someone is legally marked as an absconder they are "blacklisted" and are banned from entering the UAE for at least one year in accordance with Article 128 of UAE Labour Law.
In a typical case, the employer does not cancel the visa, as visas do not actually expire and must be formally cancelled.
And when this happens the visa continues to remain in the system as "Not renewed" and when this happens i.e. if the visa is not renewed in the system within 60 days, the employee is in breach of IMMIGRATION LAWS.]
The employee is thus prevented from applying for a new visa or the application is rejected and that is why we say absconding is usually for life as the glitch remains in the system.
It keeps showing that something is registered in the system (that means he is not eligible to work or enter in the UAE) unless deleted in the system by amnesty scheme or by an order from the Ministry.
