Q: Sir, Madam I signed in Dec. 2017 a business contract for a short audit assignment with a local AD company. The CEO of the company requested my services but recently resigned. The company paid the first payment on my private UAE account. But in Jan 2018, the finance department realised their mistake in the selection of contractors. They wanted a company and not a single entity. As requested, I gave all documents required for a new vendor registration counter-signed by my local partner company. After delivery of the preliminary report, as per contract terms, they still didn't pay the 2nd payment for misalignment with the 1st beneficiary of the payment (me). They have launched an internal audit. The company has not followed the procedure, nor reacted quickly on the affair and tried to cover their internal error. What are my rights as an independent consultant not residing in the UAE? Can I file a legal case for the non-respect of payment & breach of contract? What is my/partner probability to win this case?

Q: I made an agreement with my previous employer that my outstanding dues will be paid to me by the employer after one year from the cancellation of my visa. Now two years have passed but I did not receive my pending dues. What to do? Please advise.

Q: Dear Madam, I would need your help in solving my issue. Please note I have stayed in the UAE for the past 4 years in both RAK and Dubai. I have no criminal offence during my stay and I was employed with all reputed companies. However, last December 2018 my contract was suddenly terminated by my previous employer without any notice. So I lost my job and had to fly back to my country. Once back, I started to look for jobs again as I needed to afford my old parents. Meanwhile, my previous employer has cancelled my work visa and I was given visa cancellation as well. Somehow I managed to get a new job again in the UAE, however, suddenly the employer came back to me and said they are unable to apply for my new work visa because as per Immigration my profile has been blacklisted. Q: Hi Sir/Madam, I want to know what happens when I resign after I completed the probation period. My company did not cancel my visa and did not pay me my gratuity and pending money.
