Remote worker for a company, unpaid for 3 months. MOHRE complaint necessary?

Hi,

I'm working remotely for a company based in the UAE and the company is active (verified in NER). The company is nice but I have not received my salary for the last 3 months.

Could you please answer the following questions?

Is it correct that I have to put a complaint to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) as soon as possible?

What penalty can the company receive?

Dear Questioner,

We can assist you in claiming your legal rights. We advise you to file the complaint ASAP because if the employer terminated you first, you might lose the chance to prove the arbitrary dismissal.

Failure to transfer salary for more than 3 months is considered by the court in some cases to require compensation.

You can calculate your legal rights free of charge. Also, regarding your query, the imposed penalty can range from 5000 to 50000 AED as a maximum.

You can reach out to us through WhatsApp for further assistance.

Dear Questioner,

Yes, it is correct that you should file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) as soon as possible.

This is the appropriate government agency to handle labor disputes and ensure that employees are receiving their rights and entitlements.

The penalty for the company will depend on the specific circumstances of your case and the decision of the MOHRE.

However, the company may face fines, penalties, and even legal action if they are found to be in violation of labor laws.

They may also be required to pay any outstanding salaries and benefits owed to you.
