Resignation during probation: Is serving a notice period required?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am currently on probation in a limited contract in Abu Dhabi. It has not even been a month since I joined. I do not wish to continue with the company and intend to resign. Do I need to serve a notice period?
Will the employer sue me for not serving notice? Do I need to pay for my visa charges? The employer is threatening me that they won't cancel the visa and will impose a work permit ban for one year.

According to the provisions of the law, if you leave for resignation, you must notify one month before the date of leaving work and perform the work during it.

Dear Questioner,
If you have signed the employment contract, then you may serve the notice period of 14 days.
According to UAE Labor law, if you are terminating the employment contract on probation, then you don't have any obligation to pay the recruitment expenses.
If you are going to join another company, then your new employer may compensate your previous employer.
