Questions & Answers
Can the employer ask to access the personal data of his employees?
Can the employer ask the employee to submit or give access to the employee's personal accounts like LinkedIn, Facebook, and his personal laptop, personal phone, etc. upon the termination of his employment?
Which law applies to this in the UAE?

Dear questioner
As per UAE Data Privacy Law, it is a clear-cut violation. Employees have a right to privacy, and their personal accounts and devices fall under this right.
Demanding access to these could be considered an invasion of privacy. You can raise a dispute over this in MOHRE.
