This means that if you have not signed a contract with your employer, they cannot file an absconding case against you.

This is the situation. I applied to work for that company then they gave me 1 month of training.

They took my passport. I will not continue because I heard from my colleagues they will not process for working visa.

The owner told us they would file absconding, and we even don’t have any sign of documents.

Dear Questioner

The employer could not file an absconding case against you because he is not the sponsor of your visa.

The legal sponsor of your visa could only actually put you in absconding. If you need further details, please share your Whatsapp number.

What will I do to take my passport back?

If you have the offer letters from the employer and it shows that you will be provided the employment visa then you can initiate the proceedings against the company in MOHRE on the terms that you were cheated.

On visit visa time the chances are less for an absconding case unless the person not exited the country even overstayed.

Dear questioner

In general, the visa sponsor can only put you in absconding in a visit visa time while you had overstayed and did not exist.

For your visit visa, the employer is not your sponsor so possibilities are less.

If you need further clarification, please share your Whatsapp number.

Good day Sir.

Can they apply for a labor permit without signing an offer letter?

31 Jan 2024, 12:58

Even if the offer letter is not signed it is the obligation of the employer to provide the employment contract and start the procedures of labor permit and visa.

You can also refrain from work as it is illegal to work in UAE without an employment visa and labor card.

Dear User,

Your employer can't file an absconding case against you if there is no signed employment contract because there is no legal basis for the employer to file such a case.

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question, I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

In the UAE, employers can file an absconding report when an employee goes missing or fails to report to work for an extended period.

This process typically applies to employees under employment contracts, but it can also involve individuals on visit visas if they are working without proper authorization.
