Are company shareholders exempted from WPS registration in DMCC?
Hi All,
Can someone please advise if shareholders are exempted from WPS registration in DMCC?
Our business owner is listed as an employee with the visa title of sales executive, but his name is mentioned on the license.
However, he doesn't receive any salary and doesn't reside in the UAE but only visits the UAE occasionally.
Thank You in advance.

Shareholders holding member company-issued visas are exempted from registering for salary transfers through the WPS in DMCC.
As per DMCC regulations, shareholders of the company don't need to register for WPS salary transfer.
This applies even if they receive dividends or other forms of income from the company.
However, it's a fact that the business owner doesn't receive a salary when he resides outside the UAE.
