Can my employer file absconding against me because I filed a case for not canceling my visa?
Good day!
I am under a free zone company, I filed a case to labor against my employer because he is refusing to cancel my visa.
Then this employer told me that he would file a case against me for absconding and place a ban. How does that happen?
When he is the one who is not following the rules under the contract, by making me work for 13 hrs instead of 8 hrs only, and not paying the overtime fee.
That’s why I resigned from them, and now he is the one who wants to file a case against me.

If you have officially resigned, then you need to contact the free zone authority to assist you with visa cancellation and/or obtain a no-objection letter from them.
And request from Immigration can be made through Amer Center for cancellation.
If you haven't yet resigned, then obtain a no-objection letter from the free zone authority and register a complaint on the MOHRE website.

Please go through your Employment contract and make sure that you have served the proper notice period.
If you served the proper notice period then there will be no issues if not make the payment in lieu of notice.
If this is followed properly, even employer puts an absconding you can challenge it in Court.
Also if you want to file a complaint in MOHRE for claiming salaries for overstay, you can proceed with the same.
