Cancellation of residency visa of the sponsor and dependents
I have left the UAE last year May-2017 with my family. I have got my visa cancelled but the visas of my wife and 2 children are not cancelled yet.
What is the penalty if I cancel it today?

As when your visa was cancelled, it will show in the DNRD system that you have dependents sponsored.
And before your visa is cancelled, you have to either cancel their visa or deposit money to reserve it.
The normal process is that you are required to submit a cancellation request of residence E-form with the sponsor signature and original passport or departure statement of the sponsored person, showing that the residence visa has expired.
After staying outside the UAE for more than six months, any residence visa is cancelled automatically in the record of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (the 'DNRD').
