Q: In September I moved from my apartment and as I have a contract with Etisalat I called them to ask if I can move my connection to other address. I have been told that this area is coved by Du so I have been suggested to close my account, which I did. Now after such a long time, I have received an email from Etisalat that my account was overdue by almost 2k Dh. I directly contacted Etisalat, I have spoken with a few people there without any resolution. Also, I have emailed to their customer care centre but till now my complaint has not been resolved. All the supportive documents I have in hands. Where do I stand from a legal perspective? What would you advise?

Q: I have a flatmate who applied for internet in Etisalat, but when he went on vacation he did not come back. Then our flat owner continued it but the internet account was not transferred to his name. When I got back from my vacation, there was already a new flat owner. She removed the existing internet in our home because she applied for a new account. That was almost 2 years ago. Now, I don't know why Etisalat is texting and calling me that I have to pay the amount due and they initiated a legal action and travel ban on me. Tahseel messaged me about this. Please, can anyone help me on what I can do?

Q: Hi, Someone opened a home internet connection in my name using my documents in a place I have never stayed in, in November 2018. In September 2019, the Du recovery team contacted me to settle the unpaid amount of AED 1499. I went to Du's office and registered a complaint. The contract they provided is not signed by me, nor the phone number or email address mentioned on the contract is mine. I registered a complaint with TDRA and they provided me with all papers. With these papers, I registered a case with SPS, and later the case was registered in Bur Dubai police station. I got the case number and sent it to Du. Since then things have not moved forward. Du recovery keeps calling me. What should be done? I do not wish to have any travel ban.
