How to reduce notice period in UAE with limited contract?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I live in Dubai. I have been working for a private company in the UAE for the past 9 years. I want to resign from my job, and I have already sent a resignation email to my company with a 30-day notice period.

However, my company is asking me to serve a 90-day notice period instead.

How can I cancel the 90-day notice period?

I have a limited contract with my company.

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

If you have a limited contract with a 30-day notice period and your company is requesting a 90-day notice, first, attempt to negotiate with your employer to honor the terms of your contract.

Share your willingness to fulfill the standard 30-day notice. If you believe your employer is not adhering to the terms of your employment contract, including the notice period, you can file a complaint with the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

For any further legal assistance, you can WhatsApp us. We have an extensive team of knowledgeable and experienced lawyers to provide the legal assistance you need.

We will definitely be happy to help you.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear Questioner,

You have to choose, first to serve the notice period according to your contract or make payment in lieu of notice.

If your employer accept your termination there won't be any complication.

If you want to discuss more we can arrange a legal consultation session for a charge of 28$.

Dear,

If the notice period stipulated in your employment contract is 90 Days, then you have to serve your employer a 90 days notice period, or you would have to give him compensation.

I work for an engineering contract company and I have been assigned to a manpower contract with another main contractor on a monthly timesheet basis.

My company has verbally confirmed that I can resign after the completion of the site, but they have not given me any written confirmation.

The site is expected to finish next month and I want to know if I should send them an email regarding my resignation after the site is completed.
