Rights of the employee terminated within probation period
I am on unlimited contract with my company and this is the 3rd month but if the company terminates me within probation period stating that my performance is not good then do I need to repay the company for visa air tickets and training cost???
During recruitment, the company has got my signature stating that if I leave the company before 3years, I have to repay them visa, airfare and training cost.
Please advise me.

Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. Pursuant to your query, please be informed that as per Article 120 of Labour Law, an employer can dismiss the employee at any time and without giving any notice, if the employee is within the probation period. But here the employee is not liable to pay the employer any cost incurred by the latter.
Now referring to your second question, as you have agreed by signing the employment agreement that the cost is to be paid by yourself when you terminate the employment. This clause is binding, that means you have to pay if you terminate the employment contract. But still, this thing can be waived, if both the employer and the employee agrees to it.
I hope my answer is in the light of your enquiry. Should you have any further clarification, please feel free to contact us.
Regards,
Aws M. Younis
