Questions & Answers
Can I leave the country with a bank debt while I am changing jobs?
I have canceled my visa from my current employer and I am exiting the UAE, but I will come back to the UAE after 3 months on another employer visa.
So, do I have to clear the debts of all my credit cards before exiting or can I keep using it since I have to come back after 3 months?
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question, I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you with this matter.
You are not required to clear your credit card debts before exiting the UAE, but it's essential to understand your legal obligations.
Any outstanding debts should be addressed to avoid accruing more interest and fees. Unresolved debt can negatively affect your credit score and may lead to legal consequences.
It's advisable to manage and repay your debts responsibly, especially if you plan to return to the UAE in the future.

Dear User,
We suggest you first contact the banks you are dealing with to inform them about your current situation and come to a mutual agreement to avoid any legal issues.
For example, you may agree to continue paying your debt from outside the country until you come back to the UAE.

Hi
Pursuant to your query it would be advisable for you to clear all your debts before exiting just in case, to avoid any issues due to the liabilities.
