Can I claim my salary if I was fired without a company visa or an offer letter?

Hello,

I joined a company a month ago. They told me they would provide everything, but it is a new company and the owner is away.

They said we would start the process once he comes back. Now I have completed a month, and they fired me on the 1st of next month.

I do not have a company visa or a signed offer letter because the owner was away.

Can I claim my salary, or can they get away without paying me?

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

In the UAE, even if you haven't received your employment visa or signed an offer letter, you are generally entitled to compensation for the work you have done.

Employment laws protect employees in such situations. You should contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) to ensure your rights are upheld and you receive your due compensation.

For any further legal assistance, you can WhatsApp us. We have an extensive team of knowledgeable and experienced lawyers to provide the legal assistance you need.

We will definitely be happy to help you.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear Questioner,

If there is any proof like emails, you can try, but without an offer letter, it is difficult to claim.

I have WhatsApp chats with a screenshot of the draft letter but no signature.

You haven't entered into a contract between them and there is no evidence that you have been an employee of that company.

If you have any proof then you can approach MOHRE to claim your dues.
