Civil action for recovery of dues from a company
Hello
We have a receivable of AED 38,000.00 from a company in Dubai. The amount is due from July 2017 and all our attempts to collect the money have failed.
Is there any chance to proceed legally to collect this amount and also to put a travel ban on the owners of the company?
What will be estimated cost for the same?

Please note that as per your query, we will need to send the company a legal notice demanding payment of dues.
If the company does not make the payment, then we will proceed to institute a civil case against the company.
Once the judgement is pronounced, we can apply for a travel ban on the manager, freeze bank account of the company and freeze the trade license.
Before the judgement, we cannot apply for travel ban as this is a civil matter.

Further to your enquiry, kindly be informed that you can legitimately proceed with instituting a civil case against the debtor. If there are any unpaid cheques issued by the debtor, then a criminal case can also be instituted.
Perhaps, our opinion shall be first to send a legal notice to the debtor, clearly mentioning that the outstanding amount has to be paid within 7 days. If the debtor still fails to pay the outstanding amount, you can proceed at the court.
Before providing you with any possible service, please provide us with the agreement or the proof of the relation on the basis of which you are demanding such an amount, email communication or other communications to this effect and any other proofs.
