Can people go door-to-door to ask for donations or sponsorships?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Two people came to our office and asked to speak to the owner about sponsorships for an upcoming event.

I assume they want us to donate or solicit financial support for the event. Is it legal to go door-to-door for this purpose?

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

In the UAE, soliciting or going door-to-door for donations or financial support without proper authorization or permits can be considered illegal.

To ensure compliance with local regulations, it's recommended to verify the legitimacy of the individuals and the event they are representing.
