Police Clearance Certificate [PCC] or Good Conduct Certificate in the UAE
Hi,
I lived in Dubai about 9 years ago and I left an unsettled credit card bill, not a huge amount but I figured I wasn't going back for any reason.
Then over time, I completely lost track of it. Since then, I got a police clearance certificate from Dubai Police for immigration purposes in another country.
I was wondering if this meant that my record was clear and if I landed in Dubai I would not be put behind bars or anything of the sort.

Dear Questioner,
A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), known also as ‘Good Conduct Certificate’ is a copy of the person’s criminal record in the state in which he/she resides.
In the UAE, the certificate is issued by police departments across the UAE and it indicates that the person is not accused or does not have any criminal precedents.
You have not mentioned, when did you receive this clearance certificate and also not specified the amount. Since yours is a credit card issue, the bank can file a criminal case against you any time.
I would recommend you to check the current status in the police and immigration if you are planning to enter the UAE.
Hope the above explanation gives you clarity to the situation.
Thank you.
