Salary discrepancy between offer letter and contract: What are my rights?

Good evening,

I am currently on maternity leave. My offer letter states that my salary is AED 8,000, out of which AED 4,000 is my basic salary and the remaining is in allowances.

However, my MOHRE contract only mentions AED 4,000. I have only received a salary of AED 4,000 for 30 days.

Please can you advise me on what salary I should be receiving?

I have also requested an additional 15 days of unpaid leave, for which my employer is asking for a medical certificate before they can approve it.

Please can you assist me with this?

Dear Questioner,

If your salary was AED 8,000 as per the offer letter, your labor contract would mention the total salary of 8,000 AED - out of which basic is 4,000 AED and the other 4,000 AED distributed in the remaining allowance.

You have to speak to your employer and if you are not satisfied, you may raise a complaint in MOL.

Thank you!

Dear Questioner,

You have the right to receive the salary mentioned in the offer letter.

If he asks for a medical certificate, you may provide the same.
