Taking possession of a customer's vehicle if he has an outstanding bill
Hello,
I am the owner of an automotive garage in the UAE. I have a customer who has an outstanding bill and has not collected their vehicle yet.
Every time the customer claims they will come to collect their vehicle and close their outstanding payments, they end up lying and ignoring calls for weeks.
Is there any form of legal action I can take or a way I can legally possess the vehicle after a certain time period?

Hi,
You can request an expedited judgment for your bill amounts and ask the court for an urgent order granting you the right to request the auction of the car in order to collect the amount owed to you by your delinquent customer.

Dear Client
Hope you are doing well.
We can assist you in this matter.
You can proceed with the commercial civil case to recover your outstanding amount.
Documents required to file commercial civil case:-
1) Contract/agreement signed between both parties.
2) proforma invoice, invoice,
3) email communications regarding outstanding payment/balance confirmation from the other party.
4) other party trade license, ID's copies.
You need to file first a civil commercial case and then for the vehicle, you can call the police and inform them about the situation.

Yes. There is a time period. You may send a legal notice to the client regarding this.
