How to remove a civil case by the bank and come back to the UAE?

I have a civil case of AED 330,000/ with a bank for 5 years, and I am outside the country.

Is there any chance that I can enter the UAE without facing jail terms?

Also, I would like to know, for how many years does the civil case remain?

Dear querist,

Thank you for your query.

In case of liability as high as yours and given the fact that there is a civil case on you, the chances that you will face imprisonment upon entering the UAE are highly possible.

We can help you to negotiate with the bank and settle your liability.

Kindly contact us by phone for a further legal discussion.

Good day,

Hope all is well.

If you have a civil case 5 years ago most likely that will mean that you have a judgment and once you enter you will be stopped.

If you want to enter the UAE again please send me the case number and let's try to reopen the case and ask for payment in installments.

If there is an arrest warrant issued against you, they will stop you at the airport and then they will take you to court.

The civil case falls after 15 years.

There were a lot of changes in Commercial Transactions and Civil Transactions laws but the limitation period for recovery of monetary obligations did not change.

It remains 10 years since the obligation became due. Hence, it is better you ensure to settle your obligations before coming.
