Can I cancel the eviction notice to the tenant after sending it?

Good morning,

We bought a house in November 2022, made the eviction letter, and rented ourselves a house.

Our lease is expiring in August and must renew it by the end of this month. Our tenant told us they will move this summer but did not hear from them yet.

Can we just send them a letter specifying that they can stay and renew their rent if they wish or what does the law say in that case?

All the tenants know that they will evict only by court decision. so make it short way and open a rental dispute case.

If this is in Dubai, an eviction letter is not sufficient, and he will not be obligated to vacate.

You must send a notice of eviction through the notary public or registered mail, and he is entitled to stay in the residence for 12 months from the date of sending the notice.

I did, we agreed that he will move this summer and then I can move to the house but until now I did not hear from him.

Can I just send him a letter and tell him to stay since it will be too late for my family to move?

He is obligated to vacate 12 months after the notice was sent. You can send a reminder.

If the period of 12 months has expired and the tenant has not been vacated, you will have to file a case against him.

As long as you made the notice in November that is for 12 months so he should legally get out in Nov this year.

That being said you cannot ask him to stay longer if he does not want to do.

The best solution is to get him out in Nov. and try to rent something temporary for 3-4 months.
