A car rental company takes the deposit. What to do?
Hi,
Last year (07.2022) I visited Dubai and rented 5 supercars from a local rental company. I left 1500 euro (6000 UED) deposit for the cars which I never got back.
The company manager claimed that I got more speeding tickets than my deposit and that I am owing him money, not he to me.
I knew 99% I wasn't speeding but to be sure, I checked all the registration plates of the cars I rented and I found out there were no speeding tickets on those cars even that month I rented them.
I have sent all the copies to the rental company and explained that if they will not refund my money, I will take legal action. Later on Google reviews, I saw that there are more scammed people by the same company.
They take a deposit, and later they blame them for speeding and this gives them a reason not to refund money. The amounts are not huge (6000) UED but this man must be stopped somehow.
He is doing shame for all Emirates. Maybe there is a lawyer who can help me to send legal notice?
My budget for this is (1000 AED).

Hi There,
Yes, we can help you out to send a legal notice and to continue legal action if you wish to return your fund.
In order to do that, we will need a POA (power of attorney) which we can apply for online.
We need also a copy of the deposit receipt and all the screenshots which confirm that these cars have no fines during your rental period.
Our fees to send the notice will be AED 1,000 and the government fees will be around AED 500.
Let us know if you are willing to proceed with legal action.
Please feel free to contact us via phone for any further details.
