Can a landlord force a higher rent increase after sending a notice?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently renting a flat in Dubai, and my landlord has sent me a rent increase request 90 days before the renewal date.

I have replied to the same email stating my difficulties and requesting to maintain the same rent as last year, and I mentioned that I will leave the flat if my request is not considered.

I have sent two reminders since then, but it has been around 14 days from my first email, and they have not yet responded.

Will I be forced to renew at the higher rent?

Dear Questioner,

You must send a separate legal notice stating that you do not wish to renew, because the notice of increase will cause the contract to be automatically renewed at the old price, in addition to the increase.

Dear questioner,

You will have to if the increase is in accordance with the Rent Act.

Hi there,

Yes, you will be forced to renew the contract with the increased amount or evacuate the property.
