Leaving job during probation: Visa charges and notice period compensation?

Dear Sir/Madam,

An employee leaves the job within the probation period and is only willing to serve 14 days of notice instead of the 30 days as per the contract and wants to join a new organization.

What are the consequences she has to bear?

Is the new employer liable to pay the visa charges or the employee?

What about compensation for the due notice period of 16 days?

Please explain!

Dear Questioner,

You are not obligated to pay, but the new employer is obligated to pay the cost of recruitment to the previous one.

I am the HR of the company and one employee is leaving and joining a new company without serving the notice.

Should I ask her to speak to her new employer to pay us the visa cost?

Is there any cap for the amount?

As I am new to UAE, I ask these questions.

Please explain in brief.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can request to communicate with the new employer.

Yes, the amount must be within the cost incurred by the company to recruit the worker.
