Re-visiting the UAE after leaving without visa cancellation

Hello Sir,

I was working for a company in Abu Dhabi for 8 months. Due to some emergency at my home, I took an emergency leave. After that, I was unable to come back to the UAE.

Now, it's more than 6 months, I didn't return to the UAE. I am having a resident visa valid till March 2019.

Is it possible to come to the UAE with a new visa for a visit or for working with another company?

Dear Questioner,

With reference to your inquiry, kindly be informed that the fact you being outside of the UAE for more than 6 months, automatically expires your visa, even if it's date is still valid. This is on One hand.

On the other hand, as per the given info, there is no problem, in any way whatsoever, to enter the UAE with a new visa.

But in order to confirm the above, you need to make sure that your ex-employer hasn't filed any absconding complaint against you, nor have they requested any ban against you from MOHRE.

Kind regards,

Sherif M. ElKhatib.
