Re-entering the UAE after leaving without visa cancellation

I left the UAE in 2013. My visa expired in 2014, but I did not cancel it specifically. The visa was issued by the Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah.

I've not been back to the UAE, but I need to go back and I've heard there may be complications because I did not cancel my visa properly.

To cancel the visa properly (three years late!), is it likely that I will be charged a fine and if so, how much?

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for connecting with me on this.

Please note that any person who does not re-enter UAE within 6 months from the date of exit, that person's visa is automatically cancelled and there is no need to specifically cancel the visa.

However, to put your doubts to rest, we can assist you in conducting an inspection with the immigration department about your passport and if there are any remarks made against your passport.

You can email me your passport copy and visa page on hari.wadhwana@gmail.com for conducting the inspection.

I trust you will find this helpful.

Regards,

Hari Wadhwana
