I moved out from my house and could not hand the the keys over. Can the landlord sue me?

Kindly note that my property agent has threatened to take me to court since I moved out and I was unable to hand over the keys.

I have arranged for a third party to sign on my behalf but the property agent didn’t show up on the date we agreed.
