If an employee travels during the weekend for his/her annual vacation, will the weekend be part of the leave?

For example, the employee is traveling from 4th Mar 2023 to 12th Mar 2023. What will be the total no. of leave days availed?

If, for example, March 4 is a holiday, the holiday is counted from the next day.

Just to clarify my question again, if 4th is Saturday which is a weekly off & employee is flying on that day but he has applied for leave from Monday i.e. 6th March, will the leave start from Saturday or Monday?
