Q: I am a Hindu widow. My husband died recently. I have a son and a daughter. There are three situations where I request assistance:
A) About a year ago, my husband had registered a commercial execution lawsuit against a company that owed him money. How can I continue the execution lawsuit?
B) My husband had won a civil verdict but not yet registered the related civil execution lawsuit. How can I register the civil execution lawsuit?
C) A company owes some money to my husband. They had issued a statement of account and an acknowledgment of debt, but they keep on refusing to pay and keep on asking for time. How to start a payment order lawsuit "Amr Ada" on the company when they issued an acknowledgment of debt letter to my husband?
I only have a marriage certificate and a death certificate. Do I need some other certificates to prove that I am the heir? How will I attach the case to my username in Dubai courts system? My son and daughter are ready to give me any documents that I need from them.

Is it possible to apply a will issued in South Africa in the UAE?

1
Q: Dear questioner,
My father (Muslim) has passed away in South Africa. He leaves behind 4 children, his wife (our mother) and his own mother.
He had a will for South Africa in which, I (oldest son) am executor. The will does state that it encompasses all property and assets wherever they may be.
He has various properties and assets in the UAE. My questions are:
1. Does his will have power in the UAE or will it be divided by Sharia?
2. What documents are required to wind up his estate?
3. What is the wind-up process within the UAE?

Inheritance procedures after the death of husband in the UAE
3
Q: Procedures after the death of husband in the UAE.
I am an 88-year-old Hindu widow living in Dubai. My husband died in Dubai a few months ago. My husband did not have a Will.
I request assistance on the correct steps and procedures to get the money my husband had in his name and in joint names in Dubai banks and also some funds in India + plus one old car in Dubai.
There is also an existing execution case in Dubai courts where a person owes money to my husband.
I have a son and daughter and they are willing to make any POA or document that I might need.
A) I heard that first I have to start a "Succession Certificate file" and then I have to start an "Inheritance case". Is this the correct procedure? Do I need both steps or only the first?
Should I submit a list of known assets when asking for a Succession Certificate or when starting an inheritance case?
B) What documents do I need? What attestations should these documents have?
I am a poor lady, bedridden due to disease. I look forward to your help.

Do you have assets in the UAE? Have you made a will yet? It is highly recommended to register a will soon, otherwise, the drive to asset disbursement can be extensive and expensive. In addition to the option of registering a will in DIFC for Non-Muslim will registration, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) had also introduced a separate office since August 2017, which has made the entire will registration process easier and cost-effective.

Wills for Non-Muslims in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah 5
In 2016, Dubai introduced an exceptionally unique solution to entertain basic asset protection needs to Foreign Investors and Expat Residents living in Dubai. They can now be 100% sure their assets are fully protected against any problems that may arise because of the forced heirship system applied by the Sharia Regulations in the United Arab Emirates, or any other conflict between the religious laws of succession between the person and the state where he lives and invests.

Mold in apartment due to construction fault: Can I get compensation? 1
Hi everyone,
I rent an apartment. After two days in the apartment, water started leaking from the ceiling.
It turned out to be a fault in the building's construction, which caused condensation in the false ceilings. When the panels were demolished, it was found that they were all full of mold.
The building manager has started work, but the apartment is no longer habitable.
Should the landlord compensate me for the lack of peaceful enjoyment of the property?

Unfairly fired with demands to repay housing allowance: Is it legal? 1
Dear Sir/Madam,
My employer (Federal) signed a 3-year contract with me. They have now given me 3 months' notice, ending my contract in May rather than August, saying that my contract was not renewed.
There was no reason given for my non-renewal. My evaluations have been consistently excellent. Further, they are now demanding 3 months of housing allowance be repaid. Is this legal?
