Can the bank freeze my end-of-service benefits even if I did not miss any payment?

Hi,

I am out of my job. My end-of-service money got blocked since I still have a personal loan for 2 more years.

I plan to find another job and I am not leaving the UAE. Also, my husband is working here for many years.

How can I release my end-of-service money?

Who blocked your end-of-service?

Well, the company transferred my EOS to the bank. The bank blocked the money because I have a personal loan.

The thing is that the loan is with (X) bank and the EOS transfer was done with (Y) bank.

As per the bank, I will be informed after verification if the money can be released.

I want to know if (Y) bank can block my money if my loan is with (X) bank.

And if yes, how can I release the money? Can someone be my guarantor?

Have you stopped paying the bank?

And is there any agreement or authorization between your ex-company and the bank?

Kindly contact us to get further details.

No, I still pay the bank. (X) bank. The next installment is at the end of this month.

Salary used to go to (X) bank. But the company sent my EOS to (Y) bank since I had an account with them before and is still active.

It is not allowed to hold it if there is no liability.

You need to visit the bank and check the reason for holding the EOSB, then you can proceed with the necessary action.

Unfortunately, the bank has the right to keep it for the benefit of the loan.
