Am I obliged to serve a notice period to leave job if the contract expired?

Good day,

My contract expired on 02/12/2022, however, my visa is expiring on 15/03/2023.

I intend on leaving in 2 weeks as I have been offered another job.

Since I am already out of contract, do I have to serve a notice period?

Pursuant to your query, an employment relationship is terminated if the contract expires, and the contract is not renewed.

You have to inform the employer in writing that you are not interested to renew the contract any further and request him to cancel the residence visa.

Your benefits will be calculated on the basis of your last contract.
