Questions & Answers
I have an arrest warrant due to civil case filed by the bank for an unpaid loan. What can I do?
Good day Sir/Madam,
I have a query. Please advise.
A bank has filed a civil case against me due to my loan payment. Now, there is an arrest order issued by the Dubai Courts.
Can you let me know what has to be done?
I told the bank that I am jobless for 4 years and I am on my wife's visa. I am ready to pay but as per my capacity and the current situation.
Will they arrest me or do I have time?
I want to know how much time I have to stop this arrest order. Can I directly go to court or the police station for this, or what are other options?
And if I hire a lawyer, what are the fees/charges for that?
Please let me know.
What is the difference between an arrest order & arrest warrant?
Do I have time to appeal and stop the arrest order?
If you default on four installments, they will deposit the security cheque and if it bounces, they will file a criminal case against you and you must pay a fine to settle the case.
After that, the bank will file a civil lawsuit against you in addition to a travel ban.
Keep messaging your bank, keep records, and try to pay the minimum installments due for your loan.
Submit a complaint to the customer service of your bank, then submit a complaint through the website of the Central Bank as well because the penalty may reach imprisonment for 3 years and it is preferable to appoint a lawyer.
Dear client,
Thanks for your query,
In this situation, you should make a petition in the court and request the court to allow you to pay the amount in Installments.
If you have documents related to the case, please share them with me via email or Whatsapp.
Thanks and Regards
Dear Querist,
To answer your question, an arrest order is already issued against you by the Dubai Courts. Unfortunately, the time period to appeal to stop the order has already expired.
In total, you are wanted as per the system and if you will try to reach out to the court or police station directly you will be arrested at the same point.
Also, the arrest order and arrest warrant are the same. May I know how much your total outstanding with the bank and the name of the bank also?
Dear Questioner,
Yes, you have time to stop the arrest warrant by appealing the execution file.
If you have a copy of the execution file, please provide it to us via our email so that we can study it and send you the quotation for our professional legal fees, court fees, and our legal opinion for what we have to do.
Thanks.
