My salary was reduced in the middle of the month, does it apply to the whole month?

My salary changed in the middle of the month, it was reduced from 10k to 6k.

My question is how they should calculate my salary. 10k for 10 days and 20 days for 6k, right?

But my company is saying they will be calculating it in 6k for the whole month as per their company policy.

The reduction is calculated on the basis of the day you agree and sign it, meaning that if you sign on the 10th, the first 10 days are calculated on the basis of your salary before the reduction.
