Is it legal in the UAE to record somebody's conversation without their consent?

Hi

Is it illegal to record people's conversations here in the UAE, especially if the 2 people that are talking realize they are being recorded by another person who is not there and decided to leave their phone in the room and have it recorded?

What is the legal action I can take here in UAE?

Welcome,

Have a good day.

Recording phone calls is a crime punishable by the Anti-Cyber Crime Law and the Federal Penal Code, as a crime of violating the privacy of others without their consent.

It may lead to imprisonment and a fine of not less than 150,000 dirhams and not more than 500,000 dirhams, or one of these two penalties.

You can appoint a lawyer to file a lawsuit.

Dear,

Privacy is a constitutional right and the recording of a conversation without the consent of the parties involved is considered an illegal act as per the UAE Penal Code.

One may go to the Police and file a claim or file a case in the Courts with the relevant jurisdiction. Available punishments are fine or detention
