How to resign for changing jobs without serving the entire notice period?

I am in an unlimited contract. My visa expires in December 2022. But I do not wish to continue with my current employer.

Do I need to serve a notice period of 60 days?

How can I switch jobs without any hassle?

Welcome,

you need to submit a notice of not wanting to renew and you can move without any problems.

Just a notice for non-renewal or do I need to serve all 60 days?

20 Nov 2022, 01:48

Yes, you have to stay for 60 days.

How can I make it shorter to 30 days?

Is there any possibility to leave earlier?

Dear User,

In an unlimited employment contract, the employee may resign by giving a notice period of a minimum of thirty (30) days and a maximum of sixty (60) days.

You may refer to your employment contract for any specific clauses regarding resignation and notice period.

Furthermore, check for any anti-compete clause in the contract that states whether you can or can not work in a company in the same business for a period of, normally, two (2) years.

Should you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
