Thank you for your prompt response.

They asked my brother him to leave and he was on the probation period as he just came in the middle of July and not yet made anything as a visa or even a medical test.

They took from him 1200 as visa fees. And they took the passport and they are asking for 2500 to bring back the passport.

My brother made 2 complaints, one on MOHRE and the other in public prosecution.

In the public prosecution, they told him we can't do anything because you don't have Emirates ID.

I don't know if he is serious or my brother is misunderstanding the order.

Please advise

MOHRE is the right authority to resolve this. Does he have an offer letter and MOL contract duly signed by the employer and himself?

It is important that he informs the police straight away as keeping the passport is illegal by the employer.
