Warning to stop convincing colleagues from previous company to leave their job

I was working with a company as a Document Controller but I resigned within my probation period and joined my current company.

After 6 months, an assistant controller vacancy opened and I recommend my company contact one of my previous company staff for this position.

The company took the interview and gave him an offer letter which he accepted and submitted his resignation to the company.

But that company (My Ex Employer) sent me a warning legal notice that subjected I'm taking their staff.

The policies of some companies are subject to a non-competition policy and it remains valid for a year after leaving work.

So don't talk to your former colleagues and tell them to leave work even if in your current company is better for them now.

Unfortunately, it may be after people told your previous management. This may get you stuck and expose you to legal issues.
