How to calculate the accumulated leave?
1
Q: Hi Madam,
I have read in one of your answers to a question regarding the calculation of leave salary at the end of job, termination, or resignation, that the leave salary for accumulated leaves will be calculated based on Basic Wage.
My doubt is what is accumulated leave?
If I received all the dues of leave salary on last leave and I resigned 1 year after resumed duty, only 1 month leave salary is due for me. Is it consider accumulated leave or is it a normal annual leave?
And, why the calculation is based on basic pay in this case?
I think the accumulated leaves are the days due more than 60 days. Please advise me as I am planning to resign from my job.
I completed 20 years in the same company and there is no unpaid leave salary except the last 1 year of service.

In case of resignation, is the annual leave payment calculated on the basic or total salary?

1
Q: Hi All,
I have decided to resign from my employment and take up a job with a new employer.
The offer letter has been signed and I have been given my start day for the 8th of June. I have two questions.
My employer has told me that my unused 10 days of annual leave will be calculated on my basic salary of 10,000 AED.
However, my total allowances including my basic salary are 18000. 5,053 for housing, 2,000 for transportation and mobile phone, and 842 for others.
So how should my employer be calculating my unused annual leave, on basic or total?
Also, I have a loan and credit card with no missed payments. Will my accounts be blocked after my visa is canceled and waiting for my new visa to come through?

View allThe maximum notice period employers can put in the contract as per the new labor law 0
Our internal contract has a notice period of 3 months from both parties. In the new labor implementation, only one month's notice is required for less than 5 years of service.
Please advise if we can follow our internal contract since the position is very curtailed and the organization will not be able to replace the position within one month.

Can a notice of rent increase be sent by email or it needs to be through a notary public? 0
Hi,
In relation to the lease renewal - as a landlord - I had sent a notice for the increase of rent by email (noted in the contract) which is consistent with the RERA prescribed increase, clearly referencing the renewal clauses in the contract (ahead of 90 days).
That email serves as a notice specifying the lease amount in the event of renewal - the subject property is in Dubai.
My understanding is that email communication is valid and takes away the need for a notarized notice.
Appreciate your view, please.
Thank you!
