Journey from offer letter to employment visa in the UAE
Q: Hello, I have accepted a job offer from the UAE and submitted the copy of passport, photo, scanned documents of certificates (Attested at the MoEA & UAE Embassy). Now, it has been 2 months plus, with no update from the employer. They are telling me that they're still processing.

Q: My friend has received an employment contract as well as another document with thumbprint from a Dubai company. Please guide us how to get Dubai visa by using these documents. Date on the letter is 14/9/2017. Please reply and help as soon as possible. Thanks and regards, Vikas Vashisht

The timeframe for issuing an employment visa in the UAE
Q: Hi, A friend of mine (Now In India) applied for a job in a UAE company and he received the offer letter. He also submitted a signed JOC (Job offer certificate) before one month, but still did not receive the employment visa. When I called the Company HR department, he told me that the visa is under process and the current status is under security approval. My question is what's the security approval and how many days does it take for security approval? And when will he receive the visa?

How can we have the outsourced visas of our employees transferred to our company?
Q: Dear Sir, We are Dubai LLC company where we have outsourced the visas for our employees to an outsourcing company. But now we want to bring all our employees (around 200) under our visa. Can we transfer and continue the gratuity of all the employees under our visa legally through an undertaking from the employees while they continue to work with us?

Federal Law No. (8) of 1980 Concerning the Regulation of Labor Relations
The provisions of this Law, known as "UAE Labour Law", govern the relationship between employers and employees and other labour matters in the United Arab Emirates. There are special labour related regulations applicable in some of the free zones in the UAE.

Ministerial Decree No. (764) of 2015 On Ministry of Labour Approved Standard Employment Contracts
According to this Decree, tentative approval to admit a foreign worker for the purpose of employment in the UAE cannot be granted until an Employment Offer that conforms with the Standard Employment Contract is duly signed by the employee and presented to the Ministry of Labour.

Filing a case for wrongfully encashing a guarantee cheque
3 years back I had given a post-dated cheque as a guarantee to a person whom I had to pay the money. In 3 years time before the due date of the post-dated cheque, I had paid him partially by cash and cheque for which I have his signed vouchers and the PDC cheque details. He was supposed to return back my PDC on the due date and collect the balance amount that was around AED 4000. The cheque value was AED 115,000. On the due date, he demanded more money from me and when I refused, he bounced the cheque and filed a cheque bounce case. He said I gave him a cheque of a closed bank account when he asked the money back and claimed the full amount. I was arrested and had to pay the fine for the cheque bounce case. With the agreement I have with me and the payment voucher proof, can I sue him back for the false accusation? And can I claim compensation for spoiling my name and image?
