Request for an emergency leave after one month of joining work

Sir,

I came here to Dubai with an employment e-visa last month, the 16th, and finished almost one month with the company.

I have an emergency at my home and I need to go for one week, please suggest how to approach the company.

I will return in one week, is it possible or I need to pay a compensation as per the UAE law?

Please suggest what I will do.

Sir,

There is no requirement for payment of compensation as per the UAE Labor Law.

In few companies, they provide paid leaves and deduct it from your pending annual leaves.

However, since you have recently joined, you won't be entitled to a paid leave, but you can be granted a leave subject to deducting the salary of one week.

I suggest you enter into a dialogue with the management or HR. I am sure they will understand your grievance.

Thanks

Sir, thanks for your reply.

I came here with an employment e-visa for 2 months. One month is finished, but my medical and visa in the UAE are not finished yet.

I'd just like to know if they will grant me a leave or not.

Since your visa and medical are not done, I suggest you have a word with management about your one week holiday.

If you leave without your medical and labour then there are chances that your visa will be cancelled. Hence, please complete those procedures first and then leave.

You can call me on 052-9495731 for further discussion. Please note that this will be free of cost.
