Q: I am under DMCC. My visa has already expired on Nov., 8. My company told me that they will transfer me to an LLC (same owner). I emailed them reminding them that aside from my gratuity, I also have a pending ticket allowance.
They replied to me and sent a letter that from DMCC, I will be transferred to an LLC due to the expiry date. My employment will be continued with no changes to my end of service entitlement and annual leave.
Is this letter valid? Will this letter be enough proof and assurance that at the end of my service I will get the dues from my last company (DMCC)?

Calculation of gratuity when transferring an employee on secondment to the UAE
1
Q: If we transfer an employee on secondment to the UAE from another country for a period of 3 years, do we have to pay gratuity as per UAE law?
As per his contract in the country where he is transferred from, the company is liable to pay provident funds in the country. After spending 3 years, he will be transferred back.
Is the company liable to pay gratuity?
Kindly note that he is one of the executive cadre, not a workman.

The calculation of the EoSB in case of working for the same company in different countries
2
Q: I was working in France for a company and got transferred to the UAE with the same company. As part of the transfer process, I resigned from my French position and signed a new local contract for the new position.
My employer issued a letter mentioning the resignation and the new position benefits as well as clearly mentioning that my employment with the company is continuous (ie. my start date with the company remains the same as my start date in France).
I have now resigned from my UAE position and am in the middle of my notice period.
I have discussed with my account department the details of the End of Service Gratuity and found that they do not consider the French start date but the UAE start date in their calculation.
The letter as well as multiple company internal procedures clearly state that when an internal transfer happens, the start date with the Group remains.
As I was forced to resign from my French contract, I have not taken any compensation for the years worked.
Please advise!

I worked with the same company in different countries. Do I get the EOSB for all?
0
Q: Hi,
I've been working at a company with an ADGM license for 3 years, and I will leave the company because my position has become redundant.
However, I was previously based in 2 different locations with the same company for a total of 6 years.
Is my gratuity based on the total 9 years time I spent with the company?
Or is it only the last 3 years in the UAE?

Transferring EOSBs from Dubai Internet City to Dubai International Financial Centre?
1
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
Can you assist us with our query?
Our company is initially registered in Dubai Internet City (DIC) and will be transferred to Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Can we transfer the employee's accumulated end-of-service benefits (EOSB) while in the DIC to DEWS contribution?
Or is it not possible and we need to pay the EOSB first to the employee and start anew with the DEWS contribution?

Getting my children back from the UAE after my ex-husband took them to avoid divorce 0
Hello,
I'm in Canada, and I filed for divorce. My husband, who owns a real estate company in Abu Dhabi, kidnapped our children and took them to the UAE to avoid the divorce and force me back to him.
My children are twin boys, 8 years old, and a 10-year-old girl. What can I do?
I want to follow them and take my children back, but he says his local Emirati connections will file criminal cases against me and have me jailed if I go there. What can I do remotely?
Does the UAE return kidnapped children to their mother? In the UAE, a guardian cannot legally kidnap their own child; what does this mean for my case?
If I report him, what happens to my children? Will they be held until I arrive to take them?

Can I file a case against a friend for privacy breach if he claimed I scolded him for his act? 0
On Jan 2, 2025, one of my close friends did a privacy breach and recorded me and my van in some specific place.
On Feb 5, when I called and asked him why he did this to me, he went and gave a complaint that I scolded him and threatened him.
The same case was later closed by the PP when we negotiated outside the station and apologized.
At this juncture, can I file a privacy breach case against him, which happened on Jan 2, 2025, and on Feb 5 I scolded him only for the privacy breach that happened on Jan 2?
